This ballot measure would permanently enshrine abortion UP TO BIRTH in the AZ Constitution leaving virtually no possibility of change or correction.

ERADICATES PARENTAL CONSENT

This proposition would completely eradicate parental rights so that an abortion could be performed on a child of any age without parental knowledge or consent.

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

This proposed amendment to the Arizona Constitution would be nearly impossible to change and bypasses all legislative consideration. ``THEY WANT TO ENSHRINE ABORTION INTO OUR CONSTITUTION``

DOES NOT PROTECT WOMEN

The proposal would erase any current protective measures in place such as the ultrasound requirement, 24-hour waiting period, abortion risk education, or alternatives to abortion such as adoption

ANTI-WOMAN

The amendment is anti-woman in every sense including that it never uses the words woman, mother, or female but instead refers to moms as “individuals”

A group called Arizona for Abortion Access is currently collecting signatures to get an up to birth permanent abortion amendment called The Arizona Abortion Access Act on the 2024 ballot.

It is in fact up to birth as seen in the amendment which reads:

SECTION 8.1. FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT TO ABORTION
A. EVERY INDIVIDUAL HAS A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT TO ABORTION, AND NO LAW, REGULATION, POLICY OR PRACTICE SHALL BE ENACTED OR ENFORCED:

2. DENYING, RESTRICTING OR ·INTERFERING WITH AN ABORTION AFTER FETAL VIABILITY THAT; IN THE GOOD FAITH JUDGMENT OF A TREATING HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL, IS NECESSARY TO PROTECT THE LIFE OR PHYSICAL OR MENTAL HEALTH OF THE PREGNANT INDIVIDUAL.
